Marharyta Vasylieva is a modern Ukrainian artist. She is mainly engaged in 2D illustration and graphic design but is actively developing in the direction of traditional painting. She creates acrylic paintings and experiments with different materials - watercolor, pencils, markers, etc. The main motif of her paintings is magic - Marharyta is very fond of fantasy literature and reads many books on this topic. It is the books that inspire her to paint fairy tale art.
Background
Marharyta Vasylieva was born in 1999 in Dnipro, Ukraine. She graduated from an art school and has an architect's diploma. She lives and works in Lviv, participates in group exhibitions, and creates posters for rallies in support of Ukraine in the Russian-Ukrainian war.
Inspiration
Marharyta sees search and peace as the main goals of her paintings. She often does not explain what her canvases symbolize so that every viewer can find something of their own, close only to them.
