Analicia Dubrisingh García

Her painting style is an individualized Post- Impressionist style with strong Caribbean, French and Latin American influences. Working largely in oils, gouache, inks, pastels, and collage, she creates highly colourful works inspired by the emotional colours of nature and the native art of her cultures.

As a jeweler she creates patterns and textures evocative of trompe-l'oeil embroidery. Through mixing mediums, adding found and recycled elements and even needlework, she often adds extensive ornamentation to her pieces, working until they feel 'right' in terms of their visual impact and ability to convey an emotional connection.
